I visited the Motor City once for a wedding years ago... the bride a vision in white against the green lawn of a sprawling estate nestled far from the city. It was a lovely setting but it was a complete contrast to the neglected buildings of downtown Detroit which were hard to ignore...grand structures that stood abandoned and crumbing... sadly neglected ruins of a once great American city.
Needless to say, I never went back.

Incredible....or, rather, incroyable.
