Favorites: Montgomery Clift

At the impressionable age of 12 I found this book at my local library's annual basement book sale.  I had no idea who Montgomery Clift was but there was something about the name and, of course, the cover image that caught my pre-teen wandering eye.  I imagine my father raised an eyebrow of concern as we drove home that day.... he with his box of newly purchased used books in the trunk and me in the passenger seat with a Monty Clift biography on my lap.... and, even though it would be several years before I saw one of his films, this book made Montgomery Clift one of my all time favorites.

You have got a good taste even you were a young boy. I can't think of many young boys who would read Montgomery Clift's biography. Perhaps, a biography of a basketball player or a footballer.

PS. Your fancy bonnet story in your previous post made me laugh.

Thank you SD! Guess it's no surprise that I've never read a book having anything to do with basketball or football....now, a book about bonnets on the other hand....
